CHPAMS Newsletter is a monthly e-newsletter from the China Health Policy and Management Society (CHPAMS). The Newsletter serves as a communication platform to provide updates and activities related to CHPAMS and information of potential interest for CHPAMS members.

o    To keep the transparency in financial operations and maintain responsible spending with limited resources, the board has passed the new financial policy. For more details, please click this link.

o    To promote member communications at the local level, the board has passed the chapter policy. For more details, please click this link.

o    CHPAMS will launch formal voting member registration soon so every registered member can have formal voting rights and priority than non-voting members in all CHPAMS activities and awards.

·         Newsletter will start a new section "Members' Corner" to feature and promote the accomplishments from our members. If you have new publications and awards, please let us know at newsletter@chpams.org.

Fellowship

The World Bank Robert S. McNamara Fellowship

Introduction: the World Bank Robert S. McNamara Fellowship Program awards fellowships of up to $25,000 annually for developing country PhD candidates to conduct innovative, development-related, doctoral research under the supervision of a research advisor at a host institution abroad.

Core Eligibility Criteria:

·         Home country is a World Bank member developing country.
·         Not a dual citizen of a developed country.
·         Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a member country of the World Bank.
·         Completed all coursework and exam requirements for your PhD.
·         Have a master’s degree.
·         Be 35 years or younger.
·         You meet one of the following conditions:

1)      You are enrolled in a PhD program in your home country, and not currently employed.
2)      You are enrolled in a PhD program in your home country or another World Bank member country and are working in an academic or research institution in your home country.

Call for Participation -- Paper Contest

Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) announces its 2015 Student Research Paper Contest. A peer-reviewed electronic journal, PCD is published weekly by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The winning manuscript will be recognized on the PCD website and will be published in a 2015 PCD release.

Papers must be received electronically no later than 5:00 PM EST on January 22, 2015. For more information, click this link.
